The Book of Acts - NT241
The Book of Acts is not only the key transitional book of the Bible, but in many ways, it is the most exciting book of the New Testament! Though it is entitled The Acts of the Apostles, it does not record the acts of men but of the Risen Lord, who by the Holy Spirit filled and moved through men as His instruments. It is, in fact,an unfinished book, as it records the continuing work of the Holy Spirit through His church. This class will highlight the major themes of the Book of Acts, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the origin of the Church, its Jewish beginnings, its structure, and its continuing purpose today. It will encourage the student to walk more closely with God to make Christ’s name known with all the boldness and the zeal of the early apostles.
